SUMMARY:Women's Health Ministry 5K
DESCRIPTION:The Women’s Health Ministry of CPC SDA Church will host its inaugural 5K on November 6\, 8:00am in scenic Rock Creek Park. The 5K begins with a steep\, challenging hill down Kennedy Street NW and then follows Beach Drive through Rock Creek Park. \nLocation \nThe start and finish line are behind the Fitzgerald Tennis Center at 16th and Kennedy Street NW.  The address is 1600 Kennedy Street NW\, Washington\, DC 20011. \nRace Day Parking \nPlease use Colorado Ave (from 16th St) to park at Grove 24/ Tennis Center. There will be several street closings: Beach Drive is closed to traffic on weekends south of Joyce Rd & Ross Dr.  Stage Rd is closed to traffic on race morning.  Morrow Rd will close to traffic at 7:45 on race morning. \nRace Day Check-In  \nParticipant check-in runs from 7:15 am to 8:00 am.  The Women’s Health Ministry 5K is expected to run until approximately 10:00 am. \n  \nThe Women’s Health Ministry of The Community Praise Church of Seventh-day Adventists (CPC)is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. CPC is a family of believers experiencing the life of Christ\, sharing the gospel of Christ\, and transforming lives through Christ. Its Women’s and Health Ministries have been active not only in the congregation but the community in providing presentations and medical seminars on common health issues\, healthy living and lifestyles\, health screenings\, cooking and exercise classes\, feeding the hungry and supplying clothing for those less fortunate. \nTheme \nThis year’s theme is Focus(ed) Mind. Body. Spirit.  We believe that being intentional in caring for our mental\, physical and spiritual health will lead us and others in being victorious in this thing called life. \n\n\n\n  \n
