DESCRIPTION:The Splash ‘N Dash is a short course aquathon featuring a 300m swim and a 5K run. The race provides beginners with a fun introduction to multisport and veterans with a great way to test their fitness and racing skills. Athletes and spectators alike will enjoy our venue’s scenic and friendly atmosphere – the Ellen Linson Swimming Pool & Paint Branch Trail in College Park\, MD. \nSwim: 300m – 12 lengths (6 laps) of a 25-meter pool. Athletes will “snake-swim” – traversing six lanes – to complete the distance. \nTransition: A transition area will be provided for athletes to store their race gear. \nRun: Scenic 5K run thru the Paint Branch Trail. \nRace Day Check-In: 7:15-8:00 am \nRace Starts: 8:00 am \nRegistration Fees: \nUSAT Members- $30 thru 7/31 and $35 thru 8/27 \nNon-USAT Members -$45 thru 7/31 and $47 thru 8/27 (includes 1-day USAT License) \nRace Day Parking: Parking is available in the pool parking lot. \nCancellation Policy: Capital Sprints does not offer refunds\, rollovers\, credits\, or transfers at any time. All registrations are final. \n
