This scenic campus course winds through the heart of the university\, offering runners and walkers a chance to experience Oakwood’s beautiful grounds\, historic landmarks\, and vibrant community in a whole new way. \nFounded in 1896 by the Seventh-day Adventist Church to educate newly freed African Americans in the South\, Oakwood University has long stood as a beacon of academic excellence\, Christian education\, and service. As a historically Black institution\, Oakwood continues to live out its timeless motto: “Enter to Learn\, Depart to Serve.” \nWhether you’re coming back to campus for Alumni Weekend\, chasing a new personal best\, or enjoying a relaxed walk with classmates and friends\, the Oakwood University 5K is a chance to reconnect\, celebrate\, and give back.
